SATURDAY NITE OUT

Life on Saturday was paradise, simply divine.....

I've got the chance to go back to sleep after Subuh, as the kids were still asleep. This was a very rare chance. Woke up at almost 10 o'clock when I knew all of them were awoke.

The whole family watched the 5-hour LOST marathon on AXN. As I had missed most of the episodes showed in Channel 5, this was the time to catch up. For 5 straight hours! In the meantime, we had these for lunch...

Who needs to cook when we could have these delivered right at our doorstep? But must pay for them lah... :)

After Maghrib, from north we drived all the way to the east and went to Bedok Jetty at East Coast. We leisurely walked and enjoyed the night view along the beach.

It was beautiful.....

We let the kids walked infront of us, me and Hubby held hands and took pleasure in the moment. It was a wonderful and splendid feelings. I could count the only few occasions that we could hold hands when the kids were with us. I missed spending time alone with Hubby....outside our own abode.

Dinner at Bedok Corner. The renovated the place just like Adam Road. The place was quite crowded at Saturday night, but we managed to get seats after waiting for a while.

The foods we ordered....

The kids enjoying their foods....

Afrina with Nasi Lemak...

Afiqah and Affandy gnawed on Satay...

Reached home about 11 pm.

What a Saturday........

Thank You Allah, for blessing me with a wonderful husband and three beautiful children to call my own. Thank you for the nikmat You have granted us so far. May we remain in Your path, always....

BAKE-ING TIME!!!

Finally, after two months of not turning-on my oven, yesterday was the die-die-must-bake-day. So, I baked another version of Chocolate Cup Cakes. The rainbow rice was sprinkled by Afrina, my baking assistant.

The other two kids are the 'tukang ngap'.

And last night, I got the chance to romos this chubby baby!

But 5-minutes of romosing was not enough for me. I should meet him more often since we stay soooo near. Right UmmiZa?

I FOUND THEM!!!

Alhamdullillah....I found the cards!!

They were hidden behind the shoe basket under the bench.

I had no intention look for them. I just wanted to arranged the old newspapers under the bench, and to re-arrange the shoes in the basket. When I pulled out the basket, there it were!!!

Why on earth Affandy hid the cards there? I'm still wondering....

So now, no more heavy coin pouch. Buses and MRTs, here I come!!! Yahooo......!

Since yesterday was a school holiday, I brought the kids to the library in the afternoon. I thought of doing some shopping at Causeway Point, but the kids just could not resist the big letter 'M'. They just had their lunch, still wanted to have snack at that restaurant!

My stomach was full at the moment, so I thought they were full too. But I was wrong. They finished two chocolate sundaes, large fries and large iced milo. Once a while I sipped the drink, and watched my kids.

My heart melts just watching them. I swear I could cry at that time. This was the moment where there were no bickering and quarelling. They just chatted and laughed at their silly jokes, with their mouths full of sundaes and fries.

How I wish they were like this every day at home... If only there's a McDonald's in my house. I'm sure there will be peace and love always between them....

Stop dreaming Ummi!!! Wake up!!

Two kids here had not have their baths yet. The laundry is waiting to be washed and there are clothes to be ironed. And start thinking what's to cook today!!!

*Sigh*

BOWL-ING

I had great time, great company on Saturday night. Met up with Baby HD and Ramblerine at Bukit Panjang Plaza to have our bowling game.

We "cheered" for one another when our balls went to the drain. Despite the score, its the laughter and fun that counts. If only the rest of the KO Gang were there....

The Bowlers

Thank you for the company, girls. We should play again. Next time, we must take three separate lanes, for us, the Hubbies and the kids, so we can focus more on the games and score more strikes. Huh..huh..

WHERE CAN IT BE??

The ezlink cards still cannot be found. Hubby and I have searched the entire house.

It's like a mystery to us. Where can a 2-years-old boy hide these two cards? I'm sure they're still in the house. I don't think he threw it out to the window.

*Sigh* In the meantime, I have to carry a lot of coins in order for us to travel by bus or MRT.

I am very excited about finding the courage to travel on public transports with my kids, now the ezlink cards are gone.

Affandy is now forbidden to hold any cards!

And yes, I love pink, I love pink, I love pink. And I love pink template. Heh..heh.

WAKE UP UMMI, WAKE UP!!!!!

I was too comfortable with the school holidays, now I've got hard time adjusting back to the normal routine. Every morning is a sure rush for me. I can't go back to bed after the subuh prayer, as Afrina is in the morning session. Her bus transport will pick her up as early as 7.25 a.m.

Afiqah and Affandy are early riser, like me. Once they heard a commotion outside their bedroom, they knew that Ummi has woke up to sent their sister to school. I have no choice but to bring along these two kopet kids downstairs with me, or even to the market. Why can't they just continue to sleep till I get back from the market?

I am feeling so guilty now. I have not touch my oven and sewing machine for more than a month. I miss the baking and sewing. My sewing projects were left untouched. I bet that my sewing machine has been covered by dust.

And my oven, I should have turn it on even if I'm not using it. Just to warm-up the oven, to let it know that I'm not neglecting it again.

And yes, Affandy lost my ezlink card. Not just mine, Afrina's too. The last time I saw, he was playing with the cards. Then it's gone. Just like that. I have searched everywhere, I can't find them at all.

When I asked him, he answered, "Uh, no, no, no."

Afiqah simply said, "Takpelah, kan boleh beli baru punyeee..." Amboi budak ni...

At least Afrina said, "Kalau nak jalan, kita pakai coins ajelah, kan Ummi ada banyak"

Emmmm....sedap sikit hati Ummi dengar.

THE NEW ME....

Thank you to all, for the birthday wishes to my son.

School will reopen tomorrow. That mean I will be back on my hectic routine again.

Send Afrina - go market - cook - send Afiqah - fetch Afrina - fetch Afiqah. If only both girls are in the same session, so I do not have to run up and down.

I had terrific times with my kids during the school holidays. That was where I built up my confidence to bring the kids out on my own. And the best part, now I'm more confident to take the buses and trains with them, no more relying on taxis. I saved really a lot on that. I am so proud of myself.

And I am grateful to some of my bloggers friends - Salina, Yati CCK, & Mummy Jam - who instigated me to take my first LRT trip. Starting from there, I have learnt to ride MRTs and buses with my kids. I have even travelled on MRT from Changi Airport to Woodlands - the longest journey on a public transport with my kids!

Most importantly, I have learnt to relax when going out with my kids. No more tension and anxiety.

So Hubby, you nak kerja, kerjalah. *grins*

SWIMMING MOVIE BOWLING SHOPPING!!!

Today we had sooooo much fun!

Or rather......I had so much fun!

Hubby deliberately took leave just to spent time with us. I love to go out on weekdays as most of the place we go, usually is not crowded. But I love to go out on weekends too. Meaning I love to go out on weekdays and weekends. Is that mean I love to go out everyday? *confuse*

Anyway, we start our day going to the pool for a swim, early in the morning. As Afrina was having her swimming lesson, Afiqah and Affandy joined in.

The Swimmers......

Next, we watched movie! Batman Begins....

I was so kiasu that I booked the tickets from the internet. I realized that I had wasted 50 cents on the booking fee, as less than 15 people watched with us. What was I thinking? It was a 11.15 a.m. show, who would want to watch the first show movie, beside those who had nothing better to do, like us....?

I didn't really enjoy the movie, the sound effects was too loud for me. But I'm not complaining. How often do I have the chance to watch movie?

Errr...if I remember correctly, I think I've watched other movie with my kids the week before right?

By the way, Affandy and Afiqah slept through out the show. Thank God that we did not have to pay for their tickets, even though they have seats. It would be such a waste.

Next, we played bowling!!!

Yes, we bowled again. This time, we had two games...with our kids cheering for us! But once a while (KO Gang, read properly, I said ONCE A WHILE), the ball rolled towards the drain. *it's not ME*

But hey...! I got a few strikes too (huh huh huh). Can't wait for our bowling date. I wonder who will get the title 'Queen of Longkang'.....(heh heh heh)

The bowler and her number one fan....

Next, I met up with Diana at her house. Nice house...just like condo layout. Finally got the chance to meet her. She's running an online business , and I came to pick the things that I ordered, plus buying some other things that I did not order. And I think I want to order some other other things somemore. *check my wallet*

The 'things' and Diana with gorgeous Samuel....

Oh...oh..CSI:NY is starting soon.

To summarize, I really had great fun today. I said that already right?

SUNDAY BLABBER

I have learnt a lesson.

Never trust whatever shows that featured restaurants review that have been shown on TV. Not even if one of the most popular guy in Singapore appeared in that show.

This is what happened.

My family and I went to have lunch at a resturant at the west side of our beloved country. This restaurant was featured on TV, which supposed to be the favourite hang out place by this popular guy.

The food served shown on TV was....well, it looks yummy and delicious till this popular guy and the host, finished all the food.

We ordered the same dishes shown on TV.

It was such a dissapointment!

First of all, we expect the place to be crowded as this is supposed to be a popular restaurant since its been aired on TV. Well, good thing its almost empty as I hate to eat in crowded restaurant, with three kids tagging along.

The most dissapointment, the portion of the food served was not as much as shown on the TV. Even the garnishing was far below my expectations. The portion was small, but the price is not. I bet that any woman would complained of that - not worth paying so much with that portion served.

We also ordered other dish which was something new to us, and the picture of it looks so tempting. But its all in the picture, whatever garnished shown on the picture, was not on the food we ordered.

Taste wise, I would say, its not as great. We have taste better.

Hubby agreed that we rated that resturant three and the half upon ten. We don't think we will come back to eat at that restaurant again.

And I am not going to reveal the name of the restaurant here. It might not be fair. Others might think highly of the restaurant. So you, you and you, don't bug me with your questions. :)

Another lesson I learnt.

Do not order noodle with gravy when you have to share your food with your kids and feed them. It's sooooo troublesome. You know what I mean?

Why didn't we listen to our kids when they want to eat at McDonalds??

DIP TRIP TO CCK

I took a step further today. I went swimming with the kids, without Hubby. And we took bus and MRT too. If Salha had not asked me to join her and kids taking the MRT, I would have wasted money on taxi fares. Mummy Jam also joined us. She was such a great help, as she handled one of my kids, either Affandy and Afiqah. They seems to be fond of her.

I really salute Salha. She can handle her kids really well. They are really independent and the brothers help to look after their younger sister. The eldest, Irfan, even took little Irdina to slide down the pool. And she was not scared at all!

As for Affandy, I have to hold him tight to warm up in the pool. After a while, he could walk around the pool on his own, of course with a float around him.

Afiqah also need me to be around her for a while. Then she could play in the water on her own, with me watching nearby.

So far, I need not have to worry about Afrina. As she had learnt swimming, so mostly she was on her own. She swimmed from one pool to another. She even slided down the pool by herself.

I am glad that I brought the kids to swim. As least I'm a little bit confident to cope them on my own. I must learn to be less tense and be more relax in handling them in public places.

We went to have lunch at Lot 1. I was surprised that the place was not so crowded, even though it was lunch hour. We teased Salha's boys by pairing them with my girls. They were cool about it, but my girls were shy. Irsyad even snapped a photo of Afiqah, secretly! *Siap menabung dari sekarang eh Pol!*

Upon reaching home, I asked my girls if they had fun today. Of course they said yes. Afrina spoke quietly to me, "Next time nak pergi swimming dengan abang tu lagi".

Amboi.....bila mata bertentang mata, lidah kelu tak terkata. Ada hati nak jumpa dengan 'abang' tu lagi!

HECTIC!!!

Again, I was a very busy Ummi on weekends. We had so much fun!

Friday

I did bring the kids out to lunch and shopping at Causeway Point. So far I could handled them on my own.

Lunch is always at McDonald's with the kids, as though there's no other great restaurants around. As long as they're happy, I'm happy!

Then shopped for their new toys at Kiddy Palace. Another happy moments for them.

*Habis Ummi kena ketuk!*

Saturday

The whole family went to Downtown East Chalet to attend Harith Danial's 2nd birthday. Another great day for us. Hubby brought the kids to swim for a short while. Then we started the barbecue followed by doa and cutting of birthday cake.

I also had the honour to play bowling with the 'longkang queens' *wide grin* (aku pun sama jugak, sekali-sekala..he...he..he..) Hubby scored the most, he was such a good bowling player! How I wish I could beat him at this game.

We reached home nearly to midnight, as my kids got cranky and sleepy.

Sunday

Sunday was another great and tiring day. We brought our kids to lunch at Pizza Hut Causeway Point. This round, Hubby did not drive, but we took the public transport.

We took a double-deck bus 168 all the way to Bedok. Afrina was pretty excited and kept asking, why are we so high up! Afiqah and Affandy slept even before we reached the highway.

Then we took MRT back to Woodlands. In the train, Affandy wanted 'memek', but the train was so crowded and I'm not used to breastfeed in crowded public places, so he threw tantrums.

He even took off his shoes and socks!

Lucky Hubby was around to soothe him, if not, I could cry there!

Today

Today is rest day. But not for me! I have thousands things to do.

But today I'm a little bit rajin.

I went to the market and start cooking early.

I changed all the bedsheets, pillows and mattress covers.

I changed the curtains.

I wiped the bedrooms windows.

Then I realized that all the above add-up my laundry - makin bertimbun!!!

Mr Sunshine, please be present everyday. I need you to dry the piles of clothes.

Then I need someone to do the ironing! I NEED TO REST!!!!

WHERE'S AFFANDY???!!!

Watched Madagascar with Afrina and Affandy yesterday. Funny cartoon! Afrina surely enjoyed herself. Her view was blocked by two adults sitting in front of us, so I asked her to wait for a while before moving to another seat nearby.

While Affandy..*haiz*...could not sit still. He ran around the cinema, barefooted! At times, he sat at any available seats he like. He was not scared of the dark. He ran he and there, screaming and laughing, as though he was playing with someone. He even lied down on the floor. Luckily no one's complaining, as we were watching children's movie.

When the movie end, he did not come back to me. People started to leave the cinema, but I still could not see him. I was getting worried. Then I saw him, sitting in the very front row, with both arms at the armrest, nodding his head and enjoying the music!

I took a cap to MIL's house. Hugged and kissed Afiqah on the front door. I bet she also miss me. Hubby fetched us and we reached home before 10 p.m.

I was looking forward to watch 'LOST' on tv, but I was 'lost' and the tv watched me!

Today I intend to bring the kids to Causeway Point. Thought of buying the 'make-up kit set' which Afrina has been pestering me to buy. Also need to get birthday gift for her son. Hopefully I can manage handling 3 kids on my own, without Hubby's around.

CAMPING TENT

Today is my mother-in-law's 58th birthday. I really have no idea what else to give her for present, as it seems she has almost everthing. Lately I observed that she is into the "manik-manik" shoes, so I bought for her shoe, handbag and tudung to add on to her collection. All pink and lots of "manik-manik".

Yesterday afternoon, she came to my house and I got Afrina to give her the presents. As Afiqah was pestering to follow her nenek home, knowing how persistent she is, I let her go. But only for a night, cause I know the longer she stay with her nenek, she will become more pampered. On the other hand, I miss her so much. The house has less noise without her, and that make me feel so apprehensive.

So later I am going to fetch her back.

Yesterday Hubby reached home quite early, so after Maghrib we went to Bukit Panjang Plaza. And we bought this.....

6-men Summer Tent

It is so huge and spacious. One thing we like about it, because of its height. Since its high, about Hubby's height, we can perform our prayers in there. So if we having a picnic at the beach, no need to rush back home to pray.

After our dinner, Afrina insisted to go to the bowling alley. So Hubby and I had one game there. Only one game. Hubby is still good at this game as he scored mostly strike.

As for me....I felt like I was playing for the first time. Most of the balls side track to the drain! I couldn't believe it. This is not ME!

Later in the afternoon, I am going to watch Madagascar with Afrina and Affandy. Too bad Afiqah is not with us. After the movie, will be going to MIL's house to bring back my chubby little girl....

Afiqah, did you miss Ummi....?

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Wow! So fast it's the second week of school holidays. So far so good, except for some mischievous act by the two smaller kids. I still can survive!

Friday

"Rewang" at my mum's place as she was the caterer for my cousin's solemnization on Saturday. Potong bawang, potong cili, kopek kentang, potong paru and hati etc. Penat seh! Slept over at my mum's as she need extra helping hand.

Saturday

Sent the lauks to my cousin's place at Sembawang. Ran here and there, up and down to help out. Berpeluh-peluh! Went back almost to midnight.

Sunday

Not as busy but still berpeluh-peluh, due to the hot weather. The wedding went smoothly. I was the last to leave my aunt's place, so apa lagi....tapau lah lauk pauk, kuih muih, kropok krepek dan macam-macam lagi. Best in the world!

Monday

Almost overslept. Sent the girls to their ngaji class. Hubby was on leave. So we went to update Affandy's photo for his passport. There was 207 queues in front of us!! Waited for more than two hours just to update the photo. What a waste of time!

We went to Tanjong Katong Complex to buy MIL's birthday present. It's coming soon. Thought of buying for myself, but...takpelah. Next time can return back to shop again. *Bila tu agaknye..*

Tuesday

Yahooooo!!! I had grooving good time yesterday!!

Sent Afrina to her swimming lesson in the morning, had lunch at Causeway Point with the kids and went back.

Afternoon, met her, her and her for bowling game at Bukit Panjang Plaza. Also met her for the first time. It's been ages since I last played. My score did not even reach 100! Maybe my hand dah kaku or blame it on the ball *wink at her*.

Have late lunch with them, then they brought me to take LRT. *blushed* My first trip boarding the LRT. Cannot blame me what...Mana ada LRT kat Woodlands!

I really had fun, looking forward for next week!

DOODLE

They did it again!!

On the wall is not enough for them. Now it's on the floor, on my LAMINATED floor!

They have books, drawing blocks and papers to scribble on, but they chose the FLOOR!!

If I were to leave it to let Hubby see, sure they will get spank.

So who else would help me to clean up? She voluntarily help me, my sweet Afrina.

From today onwards, the two rascals are barred from holding any pens, pencils especially crayons.

If they want to scribble, I will make sure I SIT TOGETHER WITH THEM.

They are not allowed to move around the house holding any pens, pencils or crayons. If not, the walls and the floor will become their writing board.

Don't play play with me!!!

1 2 3 4 Hi 5!!!!

I brought my kids to Hi5 Concert at Expo 1 yesterday.

I could see that they really had a great time and enjoyed themselves very much. At first I was sceptical about bringing them to the concert, as I was not sure if its worth it. As you know, the tickets were expensive and I had to buy four tickets for us.

But after watching them dancing and jumping along, I knew they loved it so much.

Next event of concert, I should drag Hubby along. Let him see how happy our kids are......

And of course, they also 'ketuk' me to buy these stuffs.....

Light-up Headband for the girls and Hi5 Cap for Affandy.

MY WEEEEEEEEKENDS!

Afrina got her results last Friday. Alhamdulillah, she passed and scored 'A' in all subjects. Hubby has promised to buy white board for her, so she can continue to become 'teacher' with Afiqah and Affandy as her students.

I had a great weekend. We went to JB on Saturday morning. It had been a long time since I went there. There was a slight jam at Woodlands Checkpoint, but traffic at JB was a breeze. We had our breakfast and went shopping at Giant. Buying "this thing" is a MUST in JB, so we have, err....

1) The Interpreter
2) Hitch
3) The Pacifier
4) Monster-In-Law
5) Sahara
6) Star Wars episode III

Before 1 pm, we had reached Singapore and headed straight to a wedding invitation. Since it was still early to go home, we went to Causeway Point. Great Singapore Sale has started, so I got myself a new black shoe. Reached home after 3, and the whole family watched err..."that thing".

I WAS A ONE HAPPY WOMAN ON SATURDAY!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What have I done today?
Religious class - Delivered "baskets" to my aunt's place at Sembawang - Ramblerine's sister wedding invitation at Bukit Batok - Maulid invitation at Woodlands - Raining heavily - Home, watched "that thing"....
School holidays has started, and I am going to be a much busy Ummi. My agenda will be hectic and demanding - with all 3 kids at home!
Take a deep breath Ummi.....
THOSE FEELINGS!
Today I feel that a heavy burden has been lifted from my shoulder. All those unsure feeling has gone now. I feel so relieve. Today I knew that I am still being loved. That means a great deal to me.
I'm still having flu. But its not as bad compared to the last two days. Afrina's temperature is going up and down. One moment she was fine, the next hour, her temperature rise again. This morning she started to vomit. Looking at her condition, I don't think she will be going to school tomorrow also. I want her to have proper rest. Though I am very apprehensive on her exam results, her health is much more important. Luckily Afiqah is in the same school as Afrina, so I've already asked Afrina's form teacher to pass her Record Book to Afiqah.
Affandy, on the other hand, is also having fever. No wonder the crankiness and grouchiness. As usual, if he is sick, he will lose his appetite. But this round, it really worries me. He do not even want his all time favourite, "memek"! He refuses formula milk, and he's not eating rice, where else can he get his nutrients from?
I really pray that both Afrina and Affandy will recover soon. I have so much plans for my kids during the June holidays.
Oh yes, I have 1 more kid, that's Afiqah. She will try every means to get MY attention. She would kick her vulnerable brother for no reason cause she knew he would not fight back. She would snatched the book her sister was reading and ran, as her sister would have no strength to take it back. Who would these two fragile kids called for help? Well, the Abah is not around, so, "UMMI!!!!!" plus the crying could be heard. When I came to confront her, before I could raise my voice, she would hug me and cry, "Ummi, sayang Fiqah. Nak Ummi sayang..." Haizzz...
DISTRESS
I'm down with flu....
Afrina is having high fever.
Affandy is cranky and grouchy.
Afiqah is envious of the attention given to her big sister.
And I'm hurting....
HERE I AM......
OK OK, I'm back!
Afrina has just completed her examinations today. Though she is just in K2, the school is preparing the students for Primary 1 syllabus. That is why I need to coach her religiously, hopefully she is prepared for next year. I do not want to pressure her too much, but sometimes I just can't help it. I tend to forget that she is still a child, only 6 years old.
All mothers want the best for their child. I do not want her to be left behind. Now after being a mother of 3, I realized that to teach a child is not an easy job. How I salute those teachers who can teach a class of pupils. Now I'm anxious waiting for her results.
On my hiatus, I managed to steal some time to be with a group of beautiful and hot mummies. As I get to know them better, I become more comfortable with them. Can't wait for another gathering in June. Watch out you ladies... ;-D
I have made lots of new friends through blogging. I can't deny that I enjoy meeting new friends. But at the same time, I also had lost some friends. Not because of blogging, but due to personal commitments as everyone has their own life to lead. They have made new friends and old friends are forgotten. I have made my efforts to keep the friendship on, but its gone to waste. But life still goes on and I am moving on.....
The heat is ON!
The weather, the examinations, the sewing.....blah blah blah...
Will be back once everything has cool down.
InsyaAllah......
Tuesday, April 26, 2005
I don't have the chance to update for the past 3 days. Not because of my sewing, but weekend was spent out of the house, and yesterday I was lazy to update.
Saturday, 23 April 2004
My Saturday was awesome as I got the chance to meet the ever famous henna artist, Jewel, my blog sista, Salha. And one more, Ms Mumbles, who made her cameo appearance for less than 3 minutes. She wanted to do her shopping and just popped round to say hi to us. But I managed to get Afrina to snap our photo before the celebrity left for her shopping. *Apa yang you borong hah??* As for Jewel and Salha, it's great to meet both of you. I really had fun.
Later at night, I went to my aunt's place as I was invited (BabyHD, read properly - INVITED) by her personally. A group of people came to her house to propose her second daughter (my cousin). Actually by right, I need not be there as my mum, uncles and aunts were there too. But as I said, I was invited to witness the moment, so I happily went. Hubby was also there to listen to how they put the beautiful words to "pick a blooming flower from a lovely garden". Just in case if we have to propose our future daughter-in-law for our son, Affandy....
So my beautiful cousin will be engaged to her dream man on 4 June 2005. Hope everything will go smoothly as plan. To my aunt, Mama Ju, *yeah yeah, anak aku nak kawin!!*
Sunday, 24 April 2005
We went to attend the Maulid at Expo organized by Ustaz Fahrur Razi. Our Ustaz Shafi was invited to give his preach and we wouldn't want to miss that. Despite the crowd about 15,000 people, I managed to meet two of my aunts there. The event ended at 1 pm, but we only managed to get out of Expo at 2.30 pm due to the jammed at carpark exit. We later found out that the slowness of traffic was due to drivers who did not top up their cashcard in advance. So when they reached the exit, the fund was insufficient for the car park fee. They have to go back to Expo to top up from the nearest ATM machine.
From Expo, we went to MIL's house to have our lunch. Hubby and the kids took a nap after lunch, except me. While waiting for them to wake up, I had nothing to do but to watch the repeat telecast of whatever shown on Suria. Boringgggg.... I wanted to change the channel, but since MIL was watching the TV with me, better not. So I just watched while in my heart I felt like screaming for Hubby and the kids to wake up! We reached home about 9 pm, straight away put the kids and myself to bed.
Monday, 25 April 2005
The day went by just like any other Mondays. No sewing was done as I had to send the girls to their ngaji class in the afternoon. The weather was so hot, I can't even feel the wind blowing.
But I have to do what I have to do. So under the hot weather....
With Afrina who walked so fast as she couldn't wait to reach her ustazah's house because of the heat,
With Affandy who just sit in his stroller and enjoyed the afternoon view while ME, sweating and pushing his stroller,
And with the princess Afiqah, who just take her own sweet time to walk, singing happily to dunno-what-song she learnt from school, ignoring Ummi's insist voice to double up her pace. This girl was wearing her baju kurung complete with her tudung and brooches on top of her head, under her chin and a big one on her chest. Yet she could still enjoyed her afternoon walk under the HOT sun!
Hubby came back last night from work, having FEVER. He got 2 days MC as his temperature was quite high. Hopefully he will recover soon as I need him to play with the kids before bedtime, while I do my reading with my leg up on the couch. The only time for myself....
Yes BabyHD, you are right!
I'm kind of addicted to sewing now. On Wednesday, I have completed sewing curtains for my master bedroom. Now I'm halfway through sewing curtains for my girls' room. Next, I intend to sew more curtains for Affandy's room and also the living room. These curtains are for daily use, not for Hari Raya.
I will also be sewing curtains for my mum's house, the whole house to be exact.
Her living room.
Her two bedrooms windows.
Her kitchen windows.
AND, her two bedrooms doors and also her kitchen doors.
I foresee that I will spending more time at the sewing machine than on this PC.
So once again, if you do not see any updates here, meaning I will be hiding under those piles of unsew curtains....
As planned, a gathering was organized to visit Lizanoor and her newborn baby, Amir Mukhtar. Linda, BabyHD with Harith Danial and myself with my 3 kids went up together. Got to know Senorita with her son, Zakir who were already at Liza's place. Aliyah, Th0ts, Salha with little Irdina and Zany with handsome Mikail came too. As usual, our gatherings filled with jokes and laughter.
Pictures of little Amir.... see how fragile he is...
Affandy trying to "get to know" sexy Irdina...(boleh kan Pol??)
BabyHD and me left during the heavy downpour, leaving Aliyah to help Liza to clear the mess. Since Hubby was fetching us, we sent BabyHD home.
Stay at home for the rest of the day. We watched the Malay movie, "Gangster", with my all time favourite actor in it...Guess who?
Sunday, 17 April 2005
Went to our usual religious class. Managed to get Th0ts and her gang to sit with us. Afrina was happily being "layan" by Th0ts, Affandy dozed off on my lap and suprisingly Afiqah was on her own and well-behaved.
Headed to Al-Ameen Restaurant for lunch and went to MIL's place. Packed Nasi Briyani, Soup Tulang and Barbecue Chicken (so no cooking today). Left at 6 pm and visited Hubby's uncle at Tampines. By then my headache started, we cancelled our plan to shop at Sheng Siong. Reached home at 9.30 pm, gulped Panadol and went to sleep.
I'm so excited about this.... They arrived yesterday.
One of my hobbies is to sew. Though I'm still in the process of learning. Having these two things make it easier for me. What I am proud of was that, I saved my own pocket money to buy these, and with Hubby chipped in a quarter of the cost.
So if you see no updates on my blog, meaning I am 'kemarok' sewing something....
Last night after sending my girls to their 'ngaji' class, I went to Vista Point to get some groceries. As I was waiting to cross the road at the traffic light, I saw a young couple who was sitting and talking on the bench. From what I saw, I could see that the guy was trying to console his sulking girl.
He tried to hold her hand, she pulled her hand away. He tried to touch her hair, she pushed his hand. He tried to hug her, she sat further apart. Called me busybody, but this drama was there for everyone to see though there was no shouting scene.
When I was crossing the road, my mind was thinking about the incident. Was I like that during my courting days with Hubby? Thinking back, I think I was, or rather still am. But I don't sulk as much as before. I know for sure I sulked a lot last time. Maybe that time, that's the only way to get Hubby's attention. Sometimes men can be so insensitive of women's feeling.
I think I sulked too much till Hubby somehow 'created' a phrase which I felt its truthness in it. He said, "Orang merajuk selalu rugi". Even if our children sulked, he would tell them that. What he meant that, people who sulk won't get the satisfaction of what they want.
But sometimes I get what I want through sulking. And I love it when Hubby consoled me. I feel pampered and feel being loved. When Hubby consoled me, meaning he knew he was wrong and he just won't admit it. Men have this thing called ego. When he consoled me, I took it as he give in and he apologies indirectly. Ego made men difficult to say sorry. Or maybe he gave up?? Oh..oh..
After knowing Hubby for 12 years and being married to him for almost 8 years now, I admit that I still yearn to hear the "3" words. Hubby is not a romantic Romeo, but he expressed his feelings through action. *grin* (not just "that" action, you dirty minded, it could be other type of actions to show his affection). But once a while, when he said those 3 words to me, I was in cloud nine. I could smile the whole day. I smiled when I cook, I smiled when I did the laundry, I smiled when I eat, and I could still smile when my kids messed the house or even draw on the wall. You see the power of those 3 words. But I don't understand, men still don't get it!
So you guys out there *hinting to Hubby*, don't hold back those 3 words. Say it to your love ones, before it's too late. Say it when she sulks. DO I need to say more?
HOW TO BE A BETTER FRIEND
Found this article on my favourite magazine.....
HOW TO BE A BETTER FRIEND
* Understand that friendship, like marriages and work relationships, need both compromise and tolerance.
* Know that friendship has its ups and its downs - it's only natural. Try to smile though the good times and learn to grit your teeth through the bad.
* Be open, be honest.
* Don't be afraid to own up to "base" feelings - like envy, annoyance or disappointment. Just make sure you pick the right time or place.
* Some things really are better left unsaid. Never criticize, condemn or make jibes in haste. Remember - words hurt.
* Feel free to point out her "faults", but only if you truly believe that those faults are holding her back.
* Celebrate her triumphs and commiserate her losses with her. Show her that you are proud of her
On Saturday, I had my whole body being massaged again. This time I got the recommendation from Diana, whom she used frequently.
The massage lady started from my right feet first. Now I know how doing reflexology felt like. It was so painful at first when she found the "protest vein" (that's what she called it). But I could still control the pain. She massaged for half and hour, just on my right feet alone. Then she moved on to my left feet. This was where I almost cried cause the pain was excruciating. I understand from her that most of the wind was on my left part of my body. No wonder I frequently got headache on left side of my head. Then she slowly moved up to my upper part of body.
This was the first time the 'tukang urut' did this to me :
1) Full reflexology
2) 'Kerok' my body with a coin to bring out the wind. My whole body got red marks as though I've been brutally beaten. But it's not pain at all.
3) Massage my buttocks *gasps*
4) She asked me lie on my side, then she pulled my hand with her feet on my buttock. I swear I could hear the sound of all my bones being cracked. But the after feeling was fantastic. I whole body felt so light.
When I looked at the time, she massaged me for more that 2 HOURS!!! WOW!!!
Diana warned me before that after the massage, I would feel sleepy. This was very true. She asked me take a medicine so that I will not get 'demam urat'. This medicine also helps my body to relax and it made me sleep like a baby. I was grateful that Hubby was around the whole day to take care of the kids.
Thank you so much Darling Diana, for your recommendation. I would definitely called her up again for my next massage session. Its really worth....
Today, I can feel the difference on my body. We attended our weekly religious class in the morning. For the second time, I managed to sit together with Th0ts. She's really good at entertaining my kids, especially my girls. Thank you hor, KOdee!!
We have our lunch at Woodlands Centre and headed home. I just received a SMS from Diana, asking if my Hubby wants to massage cause someone will be massaging her hubby later. Of course my Hubby wants, in fact he's been asking me to find him a massage man but I don't know anyone. So he will not miss this opportunity. Let's see how it goes....
You have been a great help for the past 6 years. Goodbye....
Dah Rosak!!
Welcome my new helper....
Yahoooooooo.....!!!
My old washing machine decided to end its life. But life moves on for me, I got a new one the very next day. Thanks to Aliyah, for her recommendation cause I couldn't be bothered to look around all the brands. As long as it cleaned my laundry, I'm a very happy person. It's 9 kg, you know....I can even wash my kids in it...HA HA HA HA HA.....*evil laugh*.
Aaarrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!
This headache is killing me. It started on Thursday morning, and now it came on and off. Gulping Panadol and poured medicated oil on my head just couldn't help to ease the pain. The scariest part is, my children became the victim. Slight mistake made by them, will get a harsh scolding from me. This headache made me a monster!
Hubby has been understanding and supportive so far, though at times he became the victim too. But I can't help it. I even didn't really enjoy the long weekend. What a waste.
Maybe it's the weather, maybe I'm lacking of rest, or maybe my body is full of wind and it goes to my head. Maybe it's time another massage.....
The day that I've been waiting for since I received the invitation from her. I was very honoured to join in the gathering and I really had fun. All the mommies were great company and I really wish that we can do this more often. Here's the beautiful pictures of them....
We went to 3rd Halal Food at Singapore Expo. The girls enjoying their Turkish Ice-Cream. We also got to watch the Kebayarobics performance. The music tempo was nice and the steps were quite easy to follow. But I don't think I'll look good exercising in my Kebaya, Hubby will sure laugh at me....
The redness in my right eye is almost gone, but it feels to itcy. If I start to rub my eye, the germs will surely spread again. So I just have to keep on blinking my eye. The eye drop that the doctor prescribed work wonders but...after each drop to the eye, I can taste the medicine in my throat, as though I drank the medicine. It taste....yucks. The medicine taste won't go away even after I drank lots of water. So I ate chocolate instead, just to make the bitter taste go away. I barred my kids from eating chocolates everyday, and now they are watching me munching them right after putting the eye drop. And you think they would just sit there and watch, no way!! The words "NAK, NAK, NAK" could be heard. I have to give in so that I can have some peace. KIDS!!!
March school holidays are just round the corner. Hubby had applied two days' leave to spend quality times with us. We have some plans on where to go, but not confirm yet. Really look forward to the school holidays, it seems I'm more excited than the kids!
