THANK GOD

I really feel blessed that I have the privilege to become a homemaker.

Not meaning to be unkind to other mothers who choose otherwise or with no other choice. But I just want to let out that I'm really very happy to be a SAHM this very moment.

This is what happened.

Afrina had a bad cough since the last three days. Before she went to school yesterday, she was fine, except for her coughing. But once she reached school, she called me from the public phone, saying she felt so feverish.

I was worried that she would throw up cause this girl of mine could vomit so easily.

So I asked her to ask permission from her form teacher and to call me back.

Half an hour later, her form teacher called me and asked to fetch Afrina back.

Without delaying, I went to her school and picked her up.

True enough, she's burning hot and she was so weak and feeble.

I brought her to the doctor and she was given 2 days MC.

Just imagine, what will happen if I were to work at my previous workplace, in Jurong? And my daughter call me up to fetch her home? What if anything happen before I manage to be there with her?

I am so thankful that I am given the chance to take care of my sick child. Though I may be exhausted and dead beat at times, still I feel contented. They are under my care and I love them very much.

And I know, even when I do make mistake as a parent, they still accept me and love me as I am with their pure, innocent hearts.

They are my love, my life.....

I SURVIVED

So far so good.

I have survived with the kids for a week without Hubby in town.

I'm still annoyed over the Thursday's incident, but I've moved on. I'll just take it as a pinch of salt.

I think I have done my best to keep my kids busy during the school holidays. From movie to library, playground and having meals at fast food restaurant, even swimming. I'm glad that they had a good time with me.

Occasionally, Afiqah and Affandy would ask for their Abah, and my answer was simple - "Abah work". Period. No point telling them the whole story, as they will ask me the same question again and again.

This is how they show when they miss their Abah.

Afrina is forever writing letters to him. I know somehow she would feel relieved when she wrote the letters.

Tomorrow school re-opens and life will be back to routine. Again.

THAT house!

I was supposed to feel welcome when I went to THAT house yesterday.

But I did not.

I felt like an outcast, an outsider and a loner!

When I stepped in, everything was fine at first. The salams, the greetings, the small conversation, the jokes.

But when a lady with two kids came later on, suddenly I become invisible and unnoticed.

Please do not get me wrong. I love this lady and her two kids. They're lovely. And I am not jealous of them.

But the hosts' attitude towards me and my kids, made me so sad. It's so obvious, I swear anyone would have notice.

She drove her own car to THAT house, they said, if only I have my driving licence, then I could drive Hubby's car when he's not in town.

So what if I do not have a driving licence? What's the big deal of having one?

Yeah right, Hubby is working oversea at the moment and our car is being stranded at the car park. Just because she can drive and has her own car, so I should follow suit?? Oh please!! I have other priority in my life, hokay!!

She brought some food to THAT house, they praised and eulogized that food, as though she had put gold on the dining table! The food that I prepared with my bare hands were nothing compared to hers.

And someone living in THAT house kept repeating about how spicy my cooking was and he and his poor friends who happened to share food, visited the toilets soooo many times because of the dish that I cooked!! The dish was Asam Pedas, and it was SUPPOSED to spicy right? That's why it's being called Asam PEDAS!

If my cooking are not up to their standard, then stop asking what I cooked when they visit my house!! Arrrgggghhhh..........!!!

They played with my kids before the other two kids came. But later, what I heard was, "Afrina, don't do that! Afrina, please don't behave like that! Afrina, Afiqah, lower your voice! Affandy, don't be so rough! blah blah blah"

So the other two were saint, and my kids were that bad, huh?

And the lists go on and on and on.....

I felt so relieved when I left THAT house with my kids. I took a cab home. It's not THAT bad taking a cab home, hokay! I can take care of my own kids.

At this point, I really need Hubby to be here with me.....

I want him to know what's going on in my mind. I need him here with me.....

DEAD

They are ALL dead!!

When we woke up this morning, the fishes are DEAD!!

Afiqah blamed Affandy as he loves to knock the fish tank and frightened all the fishes to die.

Affandy said it's because Ummi never gave them biscuits. Huh?

Afrina just can't wait to tell his Abah of the dead fishes.

Now the hot topic in this house is about DEAD FISHES.

Yikes!!!!

MISSING HIM, AGAIN.....

We will be missing him again. He is gone to work oversea, while we are stuck here.

We were supposed to join him for a week during the school holidays. But we gasped at the price of the airtickets. It's just not worth. Might as well we save a litle more and go somewhere further, real holiday for the whole family.

So in the meantime, I'm here with the kids. I just have to keep the kids busy and make their time well spend on these school holidays.

So far so good. We have been out these two days. Meals at McDonalds', movie, Timezone, library etc.

On Monday, Afiqah went to follow the excursion organized by her school to Kids Kampong. And she brought back about 12 small fishes. When we reached home, 2 died. Luckily we kept a small fish tank at home and that's their home now. 3 died this afternoon, and I wonder how long the fishes can survive in the that small tank and eating bread everyday. I'm not sure they died due to insufficient of clean air and water or they just don't eat bread. I don't have anything else to offer the fishes.

Why on earth, Afiqah brought back those fishes!!

THE VENT

Heh heh.....

*Wiping dusty blog*

The PARADISE thingy only last a few days, or should I say, nights. Now I'm back to the REALITY island.

I was not actually that busy to update, I'm just plain L-A-Z-Y.

There's nothing much to update anyway.

But today I need to vent out!

Since the school started in January, I have been enjoying my 3 hours of free time. The free time starts from sending Afrina to take her school bus till fetching Afiqah and Affandy from the downstairs.

My 3 hours of free time were mainly being spent in front of the PC, chatting with my MSN buddies. Sometimes I went out for lunch with some friends and did some shopping on my own. A few times I cleared the house chores.

Sad to say that.....with effect from April, the 3 hours of free time will be taken away from me.

Why?

Thank you to the bus operator for my two youngest kids! They raised the bus fare not once, but TWICE this year!!! I know they will raise again in July, just like previous years. And I have to pay for two kids. On top of that, I also have to pay for the school holidays in June and December.

After doing extreme calculations and a lot of thinking, I decided to send and fetch them MYSELF.

But then there's Afrina. If I were to send the other two to school, Afrina will not be in time for her school bus.

Got to crack my brains to think of the solutions.

In the end, my decision is.....

I'll send all three MYSELF!!

So I have to sacrifice my free time for them. We have to leave home as early as 10.30 a.m to send Afiqah and Affandy to school. Then I'll send Afrina to school. I will have about half an hour for me to go back home and have a quick lunch and perform my prayer. By 1.45 p.m I have to leave home to fetch Afiqah and Affandy. We will reach home almost 3 pm.

Upon reaching home, I have to entertain those two, cook, housework etc....

Later at 6.15 pm, I have to drag them both to fetch their eldest sister. I have to pray hard that they do not take their afternoon nap at that time. I have no strength to carry them all the way to Afrina's school. And I do not dare to leave them on their own, at home, sleeping. So either I have to keep them busy and awake, or wake them up before 6 p.m if they sleep.

I don't see any free time for me to even check my emails.

Haizzzzz......This is my life, as an Ummi!

HE'S BACK!!

She cried upon seeing her Abah.....

The happy faces with their Abah....

Even though it was 2.00 am, the kids were ecstatic and overjoyed when their Abah returned.

Errr...no need to talk about the Ummi, cause she's still in P-A-R-A-D-I-S-E!!

Heh..Heh...

BRING HIM BACK, PLEASE....

Today Afiqah is 4 years old.

The first question she asked when she woke up this morning was....

"Abah dah balik?"

Poor girl....she misses her abah on her birthday.

And Afrina has been writing letters to her Abah, secretly. The contents are heart-wrenching and sad....Some of the contents :

"I miss you so much, Abah.

When are you coming back? I cry and cry and cry for you....

I miss your kiss, Abah. I miss going out with you.

When can we be together again?

Why you must work in U.S?

Please come back, Abah......"

I know she cried when she wrote those, and I cried when I read them...

Both girls show their feelings of missing their Abah in different ways. Afiqah is full of questions while Afrina prefers to write down her feelings.

All of us are looking forward for this Sunday. YES...InsyaAllah, Hubby will be home by Sunday.

So if I did not update for while, meaning..........Heh heh!

THE INCIDENT

It's been four days since Hubby left for States. So far, we have talked twice via long distance call. So good to hear his voice....

He also managed to speak to our kids before they left for school yesterday. I know they miss their Abah so much.

Affandy still looked for his Abah...

He will just cried for his Abah as and when he longed for him and he will not accept any explaination.

This incident happened last Monday.

Affandy was having his lunch and Afiqah was taking her afternoon nap. I asked Affandy if he wanted me to feed him, he said NO. So he ate quietly on his own. I kept myself busy by making kueh for the kids to munch later.

When I checked on Affandy, I was furious when I saw him playing with his rice. He poured the whole plate of rice on the floor and mashed it up. He even poured some rice onto Afiqah who was sleeping at the sofa.

I shouted at him and I hit him hard on his hand...... I knew he felt the pain, cause my hand was painful too. Then I carried him to face the wall.

He was crying loudly and I totally ignored him as I cleared the mess.

The crying soften and he began to weep and sob. This was when I felt so ashamed of myself....

He called his Abah between his sob....

This was the first time he called his Abah when he cried. Normally, he would just called me.

I was speechless and my heart melt seeing him weeping for his Abah....

What happened to me? I felt like I was a bad, ugly tyrant who beats an helpless child, my son.

I could still remember his words... "Abah, Ady nak Abah. Ummi beat Ady, pain... Ady nak Abah..."

I broke down and I hugged his tight. I could not decribe the regret, the remorse, the hurt that I felt at that moment. I just held him tight...

And I left a red mark on his hand.....

If only I was a little bit more patient and enduring....

If only I could control my anger and annoyance....

If only Hubby was here, to soothe and comfort his son...our son.

MISSING HIM....

The moment he stepped out of the house at 4 am on Satuday morning, I start to miss him terribly already. I can still feel his touch and his kiss before he left.

The yearning and aching for him, is so great that it hurts. I thought I was strong, but I was wrong. I am just an ordinary human being who misses her husband so much. And I will continue to feel this way for the next two weeks. Though how much it hurts, I have no choice but to bear with it.

The most unpleasant part was, when Affandy has started to realize that his Abah is not home for a few days already. I know he misses his Abah so much. So much that he cried and kept saying, "Ady nak Abah....Ady nak Abah". How am I suppose to explain to this little boy that his Abah has gone oversea to work? Even I said Abah will be home soon to play with him, he just could not understand. The best thing that I can think of doing, is to hug him.

I hugged him tight, and I cried too. If a young boy like him can feel the pain, how about the rest of us, his Ummi and his sisters?

Hubby, if you are reading this, we miss you tremendously. We pray that may Allah protect you and bring you home safely to us. Please take care of yourself as you are far far away from us, but you are here in our heart. Remember us in your prayer and we love you so much.......

QUEENS OF LONGKANG

Another fun I had while Hubby's busy working.....

My Bowling Gang

Last Tuesday, me & some crazy cousins (Za included) went to have bowling games. I did not believe that I was on my own all that day. YES!! Hubby was at work and all my three kids were with my in-laws. What a bliss...!

The four of us had our fair share of "longkang" moments during the games. But mine was not as bad as dektu lah (NOW YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE...BWHAHHAAAHHA). Even though my Hero cum motivator cum supporter (reads : Hubby) was not there, I still could score, you know. Don't play play with this lady hor....!

Next month, they shall be my Swimming Gang pulak.

ROMOS TIME!!

Yeah, Hubby got to work, so what?? That can't stop me from having my fun!!

And, and, and....I got the chance to romos a baby! Puas tau!!! And the best part was, the mom could not do anything to stop me. *Evil laugh*

Look at her. Her name is Elyza Marsya.....

Last Saturday, Aliyah and me, together with my 3 kids, we went to visit Zany and her newborn baby. I loooooovvvveee the smell of a baby. And NO, I am not going to make a new one for myself. NO WAY!!!

And look!! Even Affandy gave Marsya a kiss.....

Auwwww....so sweet.

So, anybody out there has a baby for me to romos? Heh heh...

WACKY WACKY

Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday - loooooooong holiday!!

But no...not for me.

Of all days, Hubby has to work on those days. Yes, he has to work on the looooooooong holidays. Grrrrrr....

The the past week, he has been working overtime till VERY late. I'm not talking about 10 or 11 o'clock at night. NO! He came back earliest at 2 am, and that's the earliest he could be home. He even reached home after 3 am in the morning!!!

And this wacky mind of mine had started to run wild, imagining all the nonsense thoughts. I don't have to write here what's on my mind. I think you should know better. The kind of thoughts when Hubby came home VERY late saying he got loads of work and Wifey would ask herself, got work until so late meh...? Eh...Didn't I say I do not want to write about, why am I ranting away? There I told you, I blame it on my wacky mind.

I just need to bang my head on the wall, to keep all those negative thoughts away. Go away, you unconstructive, depressing thoughts. Donch you ever make me be a pessimistic. It just ain't ME!!!

The thing is....I miss talking to Hubby, yes I really do. He left early in the morning while I was busy with the kids, and he came back while I was already in my dreamland. Then the next morning, the kids would get his 100% attention before he left for work. And me.....*sob sob*

I just want to talk, yes, I said TALK! Just talk about what's going on in my life since he had been working overtime. Geeee....as though there's so much things happening in my life lately. But I also need his attention, you know. His 100% attention only for ME, ME and ME!!!

Errmmmm....what should I go to grab his attention? On no, this wacky mind is ON again.....

Enjoy your loooooooooooooong holidays!!

THE JAKUN-IS

What are they looking at?

For the first time since they were born, I brought them to ride a cable-car. Quite expensive for a less than 20-minutes ride, but it was worth it as they really enjoyed the ride.

The view from above was awesome and wonderful....I, myself became a jakun-is.

After the ride, both Afiqah and Affandy learnt a new word.

Afiqah - Clever car
Affandy - Bubble car

Gasaklah nak, asal ada car dia sudah!!

UNGKEP

*Gasp* I almost forgot that I have a blog to update!!

This is the third week of school, so far life has been pretty ok for me. I am still enjoying my 3 hours of free time. Most of the three hours, I spent in front of the PC. I have dozens of things to do, yet I choose to on the PC. Why like that arrr??

Today I cook this.....

Ayam Masak Ungkep

Don't ask me what Ungkep means....

*Slurps* Let me enjoy my lunch!!

CRASHED!!!

There goes one of my decoration for Hari Raya Haji....

The little man of the house, being provoked by the little lady of the house, threw his tantrums and crashed my flower on the floor!

Good thing that he threw it to the floor, not to Afiqah. But still...

This little man need to learn to control his displeasure. Cause if he doesn't, then he shall get it from me. Period.

Wednesday, January 04, 2006

YAHOOOOOO.....!!

I don't believe it!!

My house is soooooo quiet since 12 pm just now.

And I have been facing the PC since then. *wide grin*

Yesterday was quite chaotic as it was Affandy's first day of school. He was ok for a while, but upon seeing most of his classmates cried, he joined them too!! Aiyoh...and I had to stay in his class throughout the whole session.

As Afiqah is considered a senior at her school, so she's doing fine. Ada kerek sikit...

Afrina is very independent. As I need to attend to Affandy, I just let her onboard her school bus on her own. I did not manage to see her on recess time as the canteen was over-crowded with over-kiasu parents. So I just fetched her after school. It seems she enjoyed her first day and she met some new friends. I think the most enjoyable for her was that she got to buy her own meal with her own money. She even has planned what to eat for the next few days.

So I am really looking forward for tomorrow and the next and the next. At last...!!

I've taken some photos yesterday, go to my fotopages to view. Enjoy... :)

THE DAY

Tomorrow is the day.....

School uniforms - Checked
Shoes & socks - Checked
Bags & books - Checked
Name tags - Checked

My three babies will start school tomorrow.

With the new year starts, new routine starts for me too.

I could sense my weekdays morning this year will be chaotic, hectic and full of shrieking and screeching. Imagine I have to cook and at the same time, need to prepare my three kids to school. All those in the morning.

But not to fret, after ALL of them get onboard their school bus, I shall be FREE!!!

In the meantime, let me adopt to my new routine. C ya!

THE BABY I COULD TOUCH....

At last, I could hold, carry, kiss and romos a baby...

Her name is Aini...

With a group of kecoh moms and kecoh kids, we went to visit Herda yesterday.

As Affandy was busy eating the goodies served, I took the chance to carry Aini. I just could not describe the joy of holding a newborn baby. So tiny and she smelled so nice that I could not resist kissing her.

If only my kids are still a baby......Haiz....

DAUGHTER-LESS

Today I am daughter-less, but not son-less.

Afiqah went to Snow City with her best friend. Of course not just two of them, but with her friend's family. I would be crazy if I allow Afiqah to go out alone!

I was touched when her friend's mum called up to 'borrow' Afiqah for a day. As her daughter will be in different session next year, she wants Afiqah and her girl to remain as friends. I can see that she adores Afiqah a lot. Good thing that we stay only a few blocks away, so we can always meet.

Afrina went to Bulan's house for sleepover. She has been pestering me when she can sleepover at her friends' place. Since this week will be the last week of school holidays, I allow her in order not to disappoint her.

So now I am left with a son, who has been placing his toy cars all over the house and been bugging me non-stop. Later at night, Afiqah will come back and she will join her little brother to bug me also.

I just can't wait for school to re-open. Can't wait for my 3 hours precious time ON MY OWN!!!

THE BABY I COULDN'T TOUCH

Yesterday, I brought all my THREE kids, all the way to Tampines, on a bus, to see him......

Isn't he adorable......

His name is Harith Qastari, and he belongs to her.

How I wish I could carry him, kiss him and romos him. But I couldn't, cause knowing Affandy, he would not be very happy. And when he's not happy, he would start his crankiness. And when he starts being cranky, then I would not be happy.

So, in order for all of us to be happy, I was happy just to look at the baby.

Nevermind Harith, if I got the chance to meet you again, I will romos you and I will make sure that Abang Affandy is occupied with something.

Oh yes, I went to visit Hana with Kak SK.

As usual, my first meeting with Hana & Kak SK, I was very quiet. I was very shy, you know......

Nice meeting both of you ladies, next meeting we might open up and talk more perhaps!

OOO LA LA.........

Yahoooooooooo!!! *do the banana dance*

We are child-less for tonite, and hopefully tomorrow night also!!!

Because ALL the kids are have been fetched by their Atok for sleepover at his house.

And I have plans *evil grin* for myself and Hubby. Heh heh....

As my kitchen is closed today, so, we, the ever loving couple, shall have our dinner outside. Only the TWO of us.....

I don't care if it's at Kopitiam or McDonald's or KFC, as long as I got to eat peacefully with Hubby. :-)

We also plan to watch movie!!

And again, I don't care what movie we watch, as long as we get to spend quality time with each other. Only the TWO of us. :-)

After that, later at night, we plan to....... Heh heh heh....

"I feel it in my fingers....
I feel it in my toes..."

Tak mo kacau ek!!!

UMMI, IBU & MAMA

I have another confuse kid at home.

It seems, one is not enough, I have one more. I think Afiqah passed her confusion to her little brother.

Since Affandy heard his friend,Firdaus called his mother Ibu, Affandy has been calling me Ibu also.

It's not that I dislike to be called Ibu, I just can't get use to it. I am known in this house as UMMI since 1999, so suddenly Affandy's been calling me Ibu, I was like...it's just not me at all!!

So I practically IGNORED him.

Heh heh...so now it's back to UMMI, I lioke....!

But then....he called her big sister IBU!!

And this Afrina answered him sooo lovingly, like "Yes Addy, nak Ibu eh? Come here sayang....Ibu here..." Adoi......I also kalah, you know!!

So now if he can't get anything from me, he will look for his IBU.

A few days ago, I heard Affandy called up, "MAMA, MAMA..."

I was wondering, who on earth is this "MAMA"??

To my shock, he was calling AFIQAH!!! And Afiqah gleefully went to entertain him!

He got UMMI, he got IBU, and he got MAMA. How many mother figures he needs in this house???

This is scary, man.....

THE UNFAIR SONG

I almost faint when I heard Afiqah sang this song repeatedly, yesterday....

Satu Satu Afiqah sayang Abang Irfan
Dua Dua, Afiqah sayang Abang Irsyad
Tiga Tiga, Afiqah sayang Dina
Satu Dua Tiga, Afiqah sayang Aunty Salha

Omigod!!!

She is soooo in love with her first son and everyone (except the father) in the family, hence Afiqah created her own lyrics, specially for them. I even recorded her singing in my handphone.

And my Afiqah is only 3 years old!!!

But but but, what about ME??? I AM THE MOTHER!!! What about her other siblings?? How come we are not included in the song??

We always teased Afiqah with Salha's second son, Irsyad. But it seems that she got more attracted to Irfan.

Geeee....I wonder what makes Afiqah sooooo attracted to Irfan. He IS a nice, independent and responsible boy, but we, both parents, jokingly think that he is more suitable for Afrina. Since both of them are the eldest in the family. Irfan is way too mature for Afiqah, 7 years different in age!

But Afiqah 'potong jalan' lah!!

She INSISTED that she wants to marry ABANG IRFAN!!! Nak Abang Irfan jugak!!!

Pol, apa anak kau dah buat dengan anak aku hah....!!! :-P

AT LAST......!!

Hahahahaha.....*Evil laugh*

I have never felt so evil yet so satisfied before. Yet I am so proud of myself!! *Evil grin*

I succeeded in persuading Afiqah to cut her hair....and....I cut her hair MYSELF!!

There's no force whatsoever, but only sweet words and more extra compliments for her.

I told her that, if she cut her hair, she will be the cutest girl on EARTH.

And she will be prettiest, most beautiful than any princesses. Even Princess Annaliese from the Barbie movie, Princess & The Pauper, also cannot beat her.

Oh...I am sooo good at these. At last, this morning, I CUT HER HAIR!!!

Before.....

After.....

I know it's such a waste to cut those beautiful curly hair, but I just couldn't stand the messiness. She did not like to tie or pin her hair up, yet she perspires so easily. So those curly goldilocks hair has to go!!

Next....Affandy's turn....*siap kau bujang*

AFIQAH-LESS & AFRINA-MORE

Today I am Afiqah-less........

PIL came for a short visit yesterday, and Afiqah said she wanted to go home :-/ Huh?

Isn't her home here, with me? I think she's confused.

Knowing how persistent she is, I gave in. There goes all my plan for my kids for today......

But nevermind, MIL promised to send her back today.

And when she's back, I just have to tweak her brain to let her know that HOME is here WITH ME!!! Huh..huh....

*************************

On the other hand.......look at Afrina's pics.....

Before......

After.....

Yes, I sent her for a hair cut.

I want her to look neat and tidy as she'll be in Primary 1 next year. And this is the result. Thank God she loves her new look.....

It seems that her face looks so small with short hair. Nevertheless, she's still a beautiful girl to me.

So, no more messy and tangled hair for Afrina, just short and sweet.

Now....I'm cracking my brain on how to persuade Afiqah to follow her sister's step....

I HAVE SEVEN KIDS!!!

Out of nowhere, I had SEVEN kids at home!!!

Where on earth the other FOUR came from??

Heh heh.... Afrina got four of her friends to sleepover at my house. Four beautiful and well behaved girls.

At first I was like.....could I handle SEVEN kids at once? Having three of my own, already gave me a lifetime migrane. How to take care of another FOUR??

But I was surprised indeed, cause....they did not bother me much. I was almost ignored by them. It seemed I was almost invisible to them. The only time they looked at me was when there were thirsty and asked for drinks. Other than that, they're on their own. Even my OWN girls did not bother me. I felt soooo neglected.....

There are independent and well behaved girls. They had all their fun in the room - talking, playing, laughing, singing, jumping, dancing, hiding, screaming etc. Though there's so much noise there, I felt sooo peaceful outside.

Last night after dinner, Affandy was already in the dreamland. All the girls were in the room. I was with Hubby at the living room, and errrm.....we, ehem....ehem.....we watched TV lah. What you think we should be doing with SIX girls in the room, still having their fun?? Unless they were outside, and we were inside having OUR fun.... Yeee Har!!!

The best part was, we got to watch the tv WITHOUT any disturbance!!

Not even a "Ummi...nak air. Ummi...nak go toilet. Ummi...nak biskut. Ummi...nak itu, nak ini"

Just me and Hubby, on the comfortable couch....WATCHING TV.

The clock showed 11 pm, the noise level in the room still remained unchanged. I had to tell them it's time for bed. Even after the light's off, I can still hear the gigglings inside. After a while, it was all quiet. I took a peep inside.....they all slept like a baby. SIX beautiful girls sleeping peacefully in one room......

If they continue behaving like that, including MY GIRLS, I don't mind having them here often. As long as there's food and drinks on the table, they're on their own. Senang hidup aku.....

THE GATHERING

I had a one swell afternoon today!!!

What can really swell me up?? A gathering, of course!!

A lunch gathering specially organized for Mommies from M4M at Salha's abode.

Lots of foods, lots of mommies, double lots of kids but TRIPLE lots of FUN!!!

What else is new, right? When all the MAKCIK QUARTERS gathered, we ROCKED the house down!!! But Salha's house still remain intact lah...

But Affandy was behaving a little odd today. He really drove me MAD with his crackiness!!!

He thought he could stop me from having my fun. NO WAY, dude!!! Even if he cried all day, I would still have my FUN. For goodness sake, how often could I get to meet all those Makciks.

Feel free to view the photos......

JUST THE TWO OF US

For the first time since we had our three kids, finally Hubby & I had the chance to be alone.

Only the TWO of us.....just for a night.

Yesterday, my PILs came to fetch all my three kids. Afrina and Afiqah were used to sleep over at their nenek's house, but this was the first time for Affandy. My MIL had requested a million times to have Affandy for a night, and I always gave millions excuses. The main excuse was that, Affandy was still breastfeeding. But now Affandy has weaned off, so what excuse do I have? After gave it a thought (in fact, lots of thoughts), I finally released my only son to sleep with his nenek, only for a night.

So what did we do last night? Ehem..ehem.....

We took a feeder bus to Causeway Point, and we watched movie!!! Just the TWO of us....

For the first time in my entire life, I watched a horror movie in a cinema. Since it was a weeknight, the only shows available for us was "The Exorcism of Emily Rose".

At first, I was reluctant to watch that movie. I am not so brave, you know. But what the heck, this was the only chance to spent quality time with Hubby alone.

And of course, throughout the three quater of the whole movie, I watched the screen with my eyes closed. NO, I did not doze off. I was just, you know, just want to watch with closed eyes.

And I could not sleep at night.... So watching horror movie in the cinema, even with Hubby alone, was a BIG mistake. No more horror movie for me!!

But I enjoyed the time alone with Hubby. And he ONLY got my hands to hold, instead of the kids' hand. Hands off kids! Your Abah is ALL MINE till all of you come back! Heh heh...

And what did we do this morning, after Subuh?

We rode his motorbike and off we went to JB!!!

The last time I rode on his bike was about 4 years ago. Since Afiqah was born, I had no chance to come near his motorbike. It felt soooooo good, hugging Hubby from behind in such a cool weather.

We had our breakfast at JB - just the TWO of us. Eating slowly and had our conversations without any interruptions from the kids.

But I couldn't help but to wonder, what were my kids doing at the moment. So get used to have the kids around, or at least with Affandy. Without them, I felt like....so empty and weird.

Aiyoh.....if like that, how to travel for our dunno-how-many-runs-of-honeymoons alone!!!

I'M BACK

It's been soooo long since my last update. I thought of leaving the blogging world for good, but I have such a fickle mind - to stop or not to stop, to stop or not to stop...

So now, here I am. Heh..heh...

Next year, ALL my kids will start school. Afrina will be in Primary One, Afiqah in Nursery and little Affandy will be in Pre-Nursery.

WHAT??? ALL my kids have grown up so fast!!! But all of them are still my BABIES.....

For all I know, they grow so fast and may ask to get married next *faints*

With all my kids in school, will I have more free time? Let me see....

Afiqah and Affandy will take their school bus at 11 am, then Afrina's turn at 12.00 pm.

Afiqah and Affandy will be back at 3 pm, so that means...I have 3 solid hours ON MY OWN!!!

Yahooooo........!! Now I'm getting excited.

But I can foresee that my morning will be very hectic, busy cooking, shouting, screaming etc...

Haiz.....I really love my life. I really do. Do I?

THE FICKLE MINDED GIRL

I have a daughter who is fickle minded.

Extremely fickle minded.

And her name is Afiqah.

She is so indecisive and inconsistent, that I, her mother, get confused sometimes.

She is almost 4 years old, in embarassment, I have to say that, she still had her milk in bottle. I have tried many ways and tactics to wean her off her milk bottle, but to no avail.

Her answer is very simple - "Fiqah kan masih kecik, kena milk pakai bottle lah!"

Ok, nevermind....

She wants to bathe herself, without my assistane.

Her reason being - "Fiqah dah besar, tahu mandi sendiri lah!"

God knows how long she would take in the shower and how many gallons of water would be wasted!

The Abah loves to tickle and carry her little brother, cause you know, toddlers are adorable and very light to carry at their age. She would be full of envy and would asked the Abah to do the same.

The Abah would answer he could not carry her anymore cause she has grown up.

Her statement - "Fiqah masih kecik lah, abah carry aje lah!"

Every morning, her little brother and I will send her downstairs to wait for her transport to her school. Once we reached the void deck, she would ask us to go back home as she wanted to wait for the bus alone.

She claimed - "Fiqah dah besar, tahu naik bas sendiri. Ummi baliklah, pergi masak!"

Amboi......tak padan kecik kau eh!

But this one conversation that made me realized of the dangerousness of her fickle-mindedness....

Afrina : Ummi, I want one more brother please...
Ummi : Cannot! You have one brother and one sister. Enough already.
Afrina : Kalau gitu, Afiqah kasi orang lain lah, so kakak boleh ada adik baru.

Upon hearing the conversation, Afiqah straightforwardly said...

Afiqah : Yes! Afiqah tak nak jadi daughter Ummi lagi. Nak jadi daughter Mami Indah.

WHAT!!!!!

(Suka ah kau konda!)

Can you believe it??

She can even changed her mind on who's daughter she wanna be!

This cannot happen, man! I am the REAL mother, you know....

But of course, after a while when she wanted her milk in bottle, she said...

"Fiqah busyuk Ummi, nak Ummi sayang! Nak milk pakai bottle, sebab Fiqah masih kecik."

Haizzzzz......Pening aku....

COUSINS' DAY OUT

The four of us are related. We are cousins.

BabyHD and Linda's mums and Lia Neng's father are my mother's siblings.

Though we are very close, it is so difficult to meet up. Even on special events like Hari Raya, we always miss meeting one another.

We make a point the we just HAVE to meet, to catch up with each others' life.

So, we had lunch within my neighbourhood (i liokee!).

Only God knows, how I miss talking to them IN PERSON.....

The food that WE ate.....

The ice-cream that WE shared.....

And the endless fun the WE had.....

Thank you GIRLS for your time. I wish we could spend time together more often, if time permits, INSYAALLAH....

TODAY IS FRIDAY

What!!! It's Friday already....

I could not remember what I've done for the past few days, except listening to THAT CD. Heh..heh... Favourite apeeee....!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. At this age, birthday was like any ordinary day. Just a simple lunch at Swensen's (where else! maybe because we could get free ice-cream on birthday) with Hubby and the kids.

And thank YOU, for the lovely gift. Errr...You still need to teach me how to use that butterfly thingy *shows innocent face*.

For the record, the mini renovation for my master toilet is yet to be completed. Ayooooo....it seems they take so long to renovate a simple toilet. But I'm ok with it, as long as they do a good job.

How I miss my bedroom and my bed so much....

Due to the renovation of the toilet, no one is allowed to enter the bedroom. Hubby has arranged all the furniture to one side of the room, and covered them with plastic, to minimise the dust on the furniture. As for we, the human beings in the house with very sensitive noses and allergy to dust, are barred to enter the room till the renovation work is over.

Hopefully by Monday, the contractor can finish all the work.

In the meantime....let me enjoy listening to my CD....

IN LOVEEEE WITH HUNTERS...

I could not describe the fun and excitement I had yesterday at Lot 1 Shopping Centre.

Till now, I could not believe it.....

Firstly, I met up with the usual funky ladies, and their hands itchily wanted to get hennaed by the ever famous and talented henna artist Jewel! And I met another talented henna artist too, she's Red - but she's wearing blue....

And....and...and.....

The most exciting part was......

I got to meet my ever all-time favourite local band LOVEHUNTERS!!!!

Aaaauuuuwwwwwwww......Ulala..........

I also got the chance to see them sang LIVE, though without their full set of music instruments, I really enjoyed their show.

I've been their fan since I was in secondary school. And I fell in love with their music the first time I heard them....till now.

And...and...and...

I have their autographed CD album - signed right in front of ME!!!

Haizzzz.....I felt like a teenager falling head over heels with them.

But I still maintain huh....

Heh..heh....

And lastly.....errrr....

Today I am ONE year wiser.....

Oklah....I am ONE year older.

Let me hear the wishes...... :-)

THE 3 RANDOM FACTS

I don't want to talk about the renovation today....

Cause I've been tagged by BQ.

Ok, below are the Three Random Facts about myself you don't know....

1) I put on lipstick EVERYDAY. Even if I just need to fetch my girls from school at the void deck, I still put on lipstick. I never fail to apply lipstick when I leave home. It's a MUST. This is not vain.....I just feel good when I look good. Heh heh....

2) I don't eat TAUGEH!!! Yucks! Don't ask me why. I just can't get myself to bite and swallow them.....

3) I can wake up from sleep easily. The first alarm sound from my handphone could wake me already. In fact, any sound that I heard during my sleep, could make me wide awake. And it's so difficult to sleep back after that....

OK, that's all about me....

Now, these people's turn to reveal about themselves...

2) MummyNZ
3) Rozlyn
4) Madamde
5) MummyTo3

DAY TWO - THE CEMENT AND THE DUST

The contractor did the plastering and laying the wall tiles - only three quarter of the tiles were completed. Tomorrow they will continue the laying and they will do some cutting of the tiles.

This mean, more dusts will be accumulated.

More dusts mean more vacuum, more mopping and more wiping.

Today is the second day of the renovation, and I already feel trapped in my own house.

I am not free to do anything.

Morning, I was trapped in the kitchen.

Noon, I was trapped in the living room - watching tv and viewing whatever channels deem right to Affandy. Haizzzz......

When Hubby came back from work in the afternoon, I was trapped in Affandy's room. At least I can breathe there cause I got the chance to take off my tudung. I also managed to do some ironing.

Hubby also complained about the dust. He also mentioned that.....no more renovation works for this house.

WHAT????

Does that mean that the common toilet will remain unchanged? So no chance for me to change the kitchen cabinets' table top, is it?

Our initial plan was to renovate both the toilets and change the table top. But I suggested that we do the master bedroom toilet first, as its in need of major renovation. Hopefully, we can start savings again and we can proceed to renovate the common toilet.

But since Hubby already said that no more renovation, there goes my plan.....

I really hope that Hubby said it because he was pissed off with the contractor on the way he handled the cement. I really hope that he did not mean it....

DAY ONE - THE DUST AND THE YUCKS!

The renovation for the master bedroom toilet starts today.

The hacking, the drilling, the dust, the noise, the worker...yucks!!

I had to put on my tudung and wore long sleeve t-shirt all day in the comfort of my own house and I was sweating real bad....double yucks!!!

And today Aunt Flow decided to come....triple yucks!!!!!!

Thank goodness Hubby was around the whole day. He did all the vacumming and mopping and wiping.

But tomorrow I will be ON MY OWN!!! With the kids, of course....

Hubby got to work and I have to face strangers in my OWN ABODE. I'm scared....

Makcik, seksa awak dah habis, sekarang kita pulak!!! ARRGGGGHHHHH......!!!!

CRAZY

Add to Edit :

My previous comment box gave me some problems too, so I have to create a new one. For those who left comments in all my previous entries, I'm sorry I could not retrieve it. Please feel free to comment again. Thank you.

**************

I wanted to update since Thursday, but my Internet Explore got sick of me.

I met up for lunch with some crazy ladies on last Thursday. They were my MSN kakis, and they were really really crazy that they drove me crazy.

As these ladies are career women, they were crazy enough to take half day leave just to have fun with me. Ain't that sweet? But how crazy they are, I still love them cause they made my day. They made me laugh, they handled my kids and....I got free lunch!!

The day got even better when another crazy and most funny lady, joined us too. So you can imagine when five already-crazy ladies plus another crazy, witty and funny lady met up, we could rock the restaurant down!

It seems like I have known them all my life, well... one of them I have known for life cause we are related. We can talk about any topics that bother us and I can feel that there are no pretense between us.

After lunch, two of them left while the rest did not want the fun to end, so we set out to have bowling game. We managed to get another friendly lady to join us for a game, and she broke her nail right after she rolled the first ball!! *wink at her*

The most best part was, our Hubbies joined us for the game too!! When crazy wives and their hubbies met, it was another total madness!

Thank you ladies for the fun that we had. We really should spent another crazy day together again.....

BOWLING MOMS

Just imagine, when seven mommies and thirteen kids met up!

Chaos? Lots of commotion? Disorder?

NO.

It was purely fun, enjoyable, entertaining, full of laughter and lots of yak and yak and yak. What else is new?

And it's gonna be much more fun if the rest of the mommies who could not join us today, were there with us. Then we would need much BIGGER makan place to accommodate ALL of us.

This time round, we went to bowl at Safra Yishun, ate at Safra Yishun and SHOPPING at Northpoint. Some of the mommies DID shop, right? Well, at least I DID!

I bought myself a pair of black shoes. Nothing fancy, nothing swanky, just a simple black shoes.

Enough of the shoes, click here to view the photos.

OUR SHORT HOLIDAY

We were supposed to have a short holiday from Saturday till today, as Hubby has taken leave for Monday and Tuesday.

We were supposed to sleep in a hotel, swim in the hotel's pool and have hotel's breakfast.

But no, we did not have all that.

Saturday and Sunday and Monday was spent at my Parent-In-Laws' house at JB.

And today, we brought the kids to swim.

I am not complaining, not even a bit. Errr..just a bit lah, but still I'm contented.

I was given a lump sum of RM$, for me to spent on whatever I want. :-)

But wait! I'm not greedy....I used that $$$ to buy clothes for my kids and some household items.
I only got myself a blouse. And it only costs me RM$29. It was really cheap. It was so cheap, I regretted that I only bought ONE. I should buy more of different colours. But I only thought about that after Hubby drived out of the shopping centre. I'm not sure how he would react if I were to tell him to turn back.

Some pictures of my PIL's house.....

The landscape in front of the house....

With some fishes in the pond....

They even have time to rear chickens....and the chickens lay egg....

Errr...since they stay in JB, so they have to act like them, so patriotic...and belot?. Heh heh...

THE DAY

I wish I can write and eloborate more about the event on Friday.

But I can't....I simply can't.

The event was full of happenings and filled with soooo much fun, and I have no exact word to describe it. What I knew was that, I had a wonderful, fantastic, magnificent, excellent, terrific, cool, groovy, awesome, overwhelming, astounding, amazing, remarkable, tremendous, splendid, breathtaking, marvelous, spectacular and last but not least, crazy time with all the glamour mommies!

Did I just describe the event?

Let the pictures tell you about it more.....

GIVE WAY TO THE DIVA!!!

Tomorrow is THE DAY......

Where I can have some time called MY OWN - even though only for a few hours.

Where I can have real FUN with some great friends and some which I have not meet yet.

Hubby has promised to take half day leave tomorrow, so that -

I can do the 'make-over' to become the DIVA! Heh..heh...

I have faith in Hubby to take over my role as a MAH-DER, only for a few hours. Except, of course, he cannot nurse Affandy. He do not have that privilege :-). But I am confident that he can handle our kids well, without ME, only for a few hours.......

Please please please......let me have some FUN.

MOMMIES' MEET-UP PART 2

Ms Mumbles, Mummy Jam, Pol, Ainn and their kids came over to my house yesterday. Though some other mommies could not make it, we still had our fun. Thank you to the ever talented comedian, Bibik Mumbles, who never fail to make us laugh. She is ONE CRAZY WOMAN!!! Hah hah ha!!

And the ever famous Jewel was in my house too!! She showed her creativeness on Ms Mumbles and Mummy Jam's hands.

As usual, every gatherings is always pot-luck, the mommies brought their delicious cookings and fruits and ice-creams and chocolates.

We also had the tudung demonstrations courtesy of Pol, and I became her model!

Thank you for the fun ladies. I really enjoyed our conversations and jokes. Yesterday was the very first time I revealed so much about myself, which normally I kept to myself. You ladies are so comfortable to talk to.

I can't wait for the big event on 26 August. Watch out ladies, a makeover diva is coming!! Heh heh.....

Visit my Multiply to view the photos of the gatherings.....

MOMMIES' MEET-UP PART 1

Met up with Lizanoor and Pol on last Tuesday. We had our dinner at Vista Point Banquet.

This time, we brought our Hubbies along, which seems they have so much things to talked about, especially on the topic "fishing". Their pet pot pet pot was worse than the wives until we had to signal to them. It was close to 10 pm and we need to hurry back to watch CSI.

And, I got to romos little botak Amir Mukhtar! He is really the clone of his Abah, he looks 100% like him, especially their botaks! Sorry UmmiZa, next child can follow your look hor...!

And to the couple of the year, Mr & Mrs Fisherman, next time your kids must tag along! Jangan nak mengepit aje... Heh heh....

SPECULATION

A conversation between a DAUGHTER-IN-LAW and her PARENTS-IN-LAW.

FATHER-IN-LAW : Ina makan apa?
DAUGHTER-IN-LAW : (Munching Pau Ayam) Pau Ayam, Abah.
FATHER-IN-LAW : Bukan. Maksud Abah, Ina kat rumah makan apa? Dah TEMBAM sekarang.
DAUGHTER-IN LAW : Huh??
MOTHER-IN-LAW : Affandy nak ada adik lagi ke? TEMBAM Ina sekarang.
DAUGHTER-IN-LAW : *Almost choked*

The DAUGHTER-IN-LAW has not seen her PARENTS-IN-LAW for only two weeks, now the DAUGHTER-IN-LAW is suspect to have a new baby hence the TEMBAM.

ALHAMDULILLAH

ALHAMDULILLAH...ALHAMDULILLAH...ALHAMDULILLAH

Afrina got a place at the primary school of our choice.

I did not attend to witness the ballot at the school. Hubby went alone after work.

The ballot started at 5.00 pm, I waited anxiously for him to call me. The call did not come till 1 hour later.

He called to say Afrina's name has not been called up yet. And only 15 vacancies left! I almost wanted to cry at that moment....

Then suddenly Hubby said out loud, "ALHAMDULILLAH!" Afrina's name just being called at the last 13th place. Phew....

I was much more excited than my girl. Don't ask me why... Heh heh...

************************************

And thank you Pol for the Ikan Duri. She was kind enough to deliver to my house yesterday.

Wow! This Sista really dress to kill. The title Datin really suits her. Her dressing to work is like my dressing to wedding invitations or Hari Raya. She already dress elegantly for her daily work to office. I wonder how she dresses for jemputans and Hari Raya. Must be much more stylish and glamorous. Steadylah Pol! No wonder "your handsome fisherman" lup lup you so much!

A MAH-DER's RANT

What did the family do on National Day?

They dressed up in RED and WHITE, and they went SHOPPING!!!

Yes, they went shopping at John Little Sale at Expo Hall 5. Yesterday was the last day, though.

But this time round, the shopping was for the fah-der and the doh-ters.

The son and the mah-der got NOTHING!!

The doh-ters got new swimming suits and some clothing, and the fah-der got new shirts.

The son and the mah-der got NOTHING!!

Of course the mah-der looked around to get something for the son, but nothing caught her eyes. So, nothing for the son.

The mah-der also looked around for her things, but she caught too many things for her likings.

She wanted the handbags, shoes, blouses, long skirts, brooches, bedsheets etc.

But something stopped her...she feared if the fah-der bombards her with lots and lots of questions and comments.

It's not that the fah-der is stingy or something, the mah-der is positively sure that the fah-der will pay for them, even with those questions and comments.

But maybe this mah-der feels guilty of buying those things, as she has tons of them at home. You cannot blame the mah-der what. As the mah-der is a woman, and a woman loves shopping, so it's natural that the mah-der wants to buy new things.

So the guilt feeling stopped her from buying the things that caught her eyes.

Now the mah-der feels angry for feeling guilty for not buying ANYTHING for her at the sales!

The mah-der deserves something for herself right? Her job as a mah-der is so darn TOUGH that no fah-der can beat. So why can't the mah-der grab whatever she wants, treat it as a monthly bonus, and think about the consequences later?

*Sigh* An obtuse of a MAH-DER...

EAR BLEEDING

Last Saturday, Hubby and I were watching the final 5 episodes of LOST.

Both of us were sitting at the living room, while our kids were sitting behind us. Occasionally, we would turn back to see that they were doing.

Then the 3 kids became very quiet. I was thinking that they might be watching the TV as well. While we were engrossed watching the TV, suddenly Afiqah was shrieking very loudly. She cried in pain!!

There was blood coming out from her left ear.

Without our knowledge, Afrina took some tiny cotton buds and was trying to dig her sister's ear, just like what we normally do to them. But Afrina could not estimate the depth of the ear, so she kept on poking it.

Of course, she got scolding from the Abah, and she was earnestly sorry for what she had done.

As the bleeding stop after a while, we thought it was just a small wound. So we just cleaned the blood.

But yesterday and this morning, the bleeding started again. I brought her to see a doctor this morning. The doctor said, her ear drum seems to be in good shape, but her ear canal is badly wounded. That is why it keeps bleeding.

She was prescribed with a ear drop and a syrup for the pain. I was advised not the touch the interior of her ear, so that the wound can dry up fast.

I was worried that it affected her ear drum, so I purposely called her name from the left. So far she could hear me. Hopefully she will recover soon.

ANXIOUS

I am feeling very anxious now.

I have registered Afrina for her Primary One class in one school near our house. The vacancy is only 103, but the students registered are almost 200. So, we have to visit the school again this Thursday for balloting session.

I was told by the school's staff that we stay within 1 km from the school. But still we have to wait till Thursday to know the result.

I really hope that Afrina can get a place in that school.
